NEFRA hosted an ‘Introduction to Working Test Training Day’ on 30th July 2022 at Roanlodge Gundog training centre (Leek / Buxton area), by very kind permission of Lesley Morgan. Such a lovely venue for all things gundog and wonderful hospitality from Lesley.

Thank you to our trainers/judges Gill Awty, Lisa-Jane Mappin, Andy Sweeney and Garry Ellison for helping everyone today and for all their hard work, very much appreciated indeed! Also thank you to our helpers for throwing dummies all day – Den Orme, Bob Hart and Darren Brooks, and to our sponsors Skinners.

We split into four groups with everyone working around the exercises in the morning with advice from our judges on what to expect in a test, and to practice the exercises.

In the afternoon, there was the opportunity to repeat those exercises under test conditions and be scored.
