Millennium Fun Day, Salmsbury Preston.

Attended by over 120 people this event at Salmesbury on 11th June 2000 was unbelievably successful.

Events included barbecue lunch (cooked by Reg & Sylvia Bunting with help from Gary Whiting), scurry (won by Chris Hewison & ‘Jed’ and Carl Swift & ‘Sophie’), trimming demonstration (by Jenny Bird), Cornish cream teas, a specially commissioned millennium cake (made by Val Orme), photo competition (judged by Julie Condron and Helen Ladley) won by Marianne Street – the winners made it into the NEFRA calendar, KC Good Citizen Tests (also assessed by Julie), gundog training demonstration and a millennium draw which raised over £1,000 for Dogs for the Disabled. Included in the raffle were 40 prizes including a dog run, a TV, a doll’s house, and a millennium tapestry made by Elaine Whiting with help from Susan Horsman.

There was a match judged by Joyce Ryder – Sandra Rees’ ‘Marsha’ won the veteran class and Robert Slack’s ‘Kyle’ won Best Puppy
