NEFRA Autumn Working Test – Sunday 27th September 2026.
What a fantastic day we had at Red Hall Farm, Betley, Crewe, for our NEFRA Working Test!
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success, our competitors, judges, helpers, stewards, spectators and everyone who worked behind the scenes.
Our sincere thanks go to our judges, Mr Paul Hasney (B3682), Mrs Gill Awty and Dr Malcolm Awty, for giving their time, knowledge and expertise throughout the day. We are extremely grateful for their hard work, time and commitment.
A very special thank you also goes to Mr & Mrs M. Berrisford for kindly allowing us to use Red Hall Farm and for their generous hospitality.

Congratulations to all our winners, Judges’ Choice’s and Certificate of Merit recipients!
It was wonderful to see such a range of dogs and handlers taking part, with some excellent work throughout the day. Working tests are not only about competition, but also about gaining experience, developing young dogs and enjoying working alongside our dogs, and there was plenty of that on display at Red Hall Farm.
Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible. From setting up and preparing the ground, stewarding and throwing, picking up, judging and presenting awards, to everyone who simply came along to support the event, NEFRA couldn’t run these days without you.
We drew a raffle today and the proceeds from this are being donated to Renal dysplasia research. JRD is a serious inherited kidney condition that can have a devastating impact on affected dogs and their families. This new research represents an exciting step forward in improving our understanding of the disease and, ultimately, helping to protect the future health of our breed. £95 will be donated to this research from today’s raffle.
